Language course English in Malta

There are 6 different levels of the intensive course, from beginners to proficiency. Classes are international. The intensive course (20 or 30 lessons per week) is designed to improve all areas of your language. The aim of the school is to enable you to develop your ability to communicate more effectively and to understand English as it is spoken by native speakers.

A minigroup course is similar to an intensive course but it is a smaller group (8 students maximum) and only available to students aged 30+. This ensures more student-teacher interaction time for your personal needs and requirements. It allows more frequent student participation with greater flexibility to focus on particular aspects of learning the language.

This is a combination course consisting of an intensive course in the morning (20 lessons per week) and private lessons (one-to-one teaching) in the afternoon (10 lessons per week). This course is ideal for students who want to improve their general spoken English while focusing on an area of particular interest. You may want to improve your English at work, your secretarial skills in English, learn how to write letters, know more about e-commerce, or just develop excellent social skills. This course is also designed to give you practice and more self-confidence in conversation in both formal and informal situations.

The Academic Year programme in Malta is designed for students who want to study at a university where English is a requirement for entry. The course consists of 30 lessons per week, with various starting dates per year with the course content combining a general English language course with a cultural one. This course has a maximum of 12 students per class. The programme is focussed on the four essential language skills (speaking and pronunciation, listening, reading and writing)  

At the end of the programme, students will have the option of either enrolling in the Cambridge Exam course, TOEFL iBT or the IELTS Examination preparation course (subject to students being at the appropriate entry level). Examination fees will apply. Students not joining an examination course will enroll in a General English 30 course appropriate to their level.

The Business English course consists of 20 lessons per week with a maximum of 6 students per class. It focus on the essential communication skills needed in today’s competitive business environment. While following a structured programme, each client’s own individual and professional needs provide the starting point and the source of selected study areas. Before beginning your course you will undergo a ‘Needs Analysis’ to determine the specific aspects of Business English you would like to develop. Important business skills such as negotiating, taking part in meetings, making presentations and doing business abroad will be practiced. You will also have the opportunity to expand your business vocabulary, develop your grammar awareness and to improve your writing skills using the correct style and register.

Would you like to have English courses in Malta with your family ? If so, our partner school in Malta, ESE, provides a fantastic programme for all the members of your family, including English lessons, social activities and accommodation in the 4-star Salini Resort.

WHAT DOES THE PRICE OF THIS PROGRAMME INCLUDE?

• Language programme: 20 English lessons of 45 minutes each. Adults and juniors will have lessons in separate groups organised by level and ages. Minors under 14 years old might have lessons in the Junior school in St. Gwan. In this case, transfer school-accommodation-school is also included.
  
• Accommodation: in thee 4-star Salini Resort, at 20 minutes from the school. In this hotel you will stay in a triple room on half board basis.
• Meals: juniors will receive full board Monday through Friday, half board in the weekends. Adults stay on a half board basis.
  
• Minimum stay: 1 week
• Pick up transfer at the airport upon arrival and departure included when accommodation is booked
• Adult Package: Valletta Tour and entrace at the Adult Beach Club with swimming pool. 
• Junior Package: from Monday - Friday daily activity program until 6 pm (no activities in the evenings).

This family programme must be booked in combination with the programme listed as  "Family course-juniors 10-17"

English lessons
English lessons are focused on the development of conversation and speaking skills by using topics of interest for young learners (music, sport and tendencies). The programme consists of 20 lessons per week in a group size of 15 students max.

School location: The main building is located in St. Julians.
