Our partner school in Malta, ESE- European School of English, offers different English courses for teenagers, juniors and children aged 10-20 years old. The programmes include lessons, social activities, excursions and meals. The school’s main building is located in St. Julians and all junior courses take place in nearby locations.   • Level: available for all levels
  • Lessons: 20 lessons per week of 45 minutes each in groups of a maximum of 15 students. Students will have lessons from 9.30-12.30, Monday to Friday. Please note that lessons may also take place in the afternoon from 14.30-18.00 or 15.00-18.30. If this is the case, the social programme will take part in the morning and/or after the lessons. It is not possible to choose the time timetable since this depends on the number of students and levels.
  • Accommodation:
     -Residence accommodation in shared rooms (max. 4 students per room) based on full board (with a packed lunch)
  • Supervision: 24/7
  • Curfew: students must be in their rooms by 23.00 from Sunday to Saturday (unless attending a school activity).
  • Airport transfer: return airport transfers are included when accommodation is booked (This service is available 24/7)

English lessons are focused on the development of conversation and speaking skills by using topics of interest for young learners (music, sport and tendencies). The programme consists of 20 lessons per week in a group size of 15 students max. The minimum booking period is 1 week.

In 2024, the school is closed on 29/03/2024, 31/03/2024, 01/05/2024, 07/06/2024, 29/06/2024, 15/08/2024, 08/09/2024, 21/09/2024. No lessons take place on holidays. Lessons missed due to holidays are made up as much as possible during the other weekdays. If the holidays coincides on a weekday or Saturday the school will also organize an activity.

  • Young adults are required to pay a € 50 deposit (to be paid in cash upon arrival) if staying at the residence.
  • Supplement if you want to be the only one of your nationality in the room: € 50 per week (only applicable for host families)
  • If you wish to change room when you are already in Malta (e.g. share a room with other students), a supplement of € 50 is applied.

English lessons are focused on the development of conversation and speaking skills by using topics of interest for young learners (music, sport and tendencies). The programme consists of 20 lessons per week in a group size of 15 students max. + 10 private lessons per week.

School location
The main building is located in St. Julians and the junior courses take place in nearby locations. On the first day at the school (not before), you will informed in which location your lessons will take place.

Alternatively, there is an optional social activity package not included in the price that students can upgrade to whilst on their course. These activities include mountain biking, tennis, aerobics, windsurfing, sailing or boat trips. Price per activity: €20-75 approx.

There is a minimum number of students needed for this course to take place, or students will join the adults programme.

*Transport:

The intensive courses for juniors aged 9-17 include internal transport from accommodation-school-activities according to the schedule of classes / activities and curfew.

The intensive course for students aged 17-22 years includes the transport school-activities according to schedules and when necessary.

School closing dates 2024:

In 2024, the school is closed on 29/03/2024, 31/03/2024, 01/05/2024, 07/06/2024, 29/06/2024, 15/08/2024, 08/09/2024, 21/09/2024. No lessons take place on holidays. Lessons missed due to holidays are made up as much as possible during the other weekdays. If the holidays coincides on a weekday or Saturday the school will also organize an activity.

Accomodation:

  • Young adults are required to pay a € 50 deposit (to be paid in cash upon arrival) if staying at the residence.
  • Supplement if you want to be the only one of your nationality in the room: € 50 per week (only applicable for host families)
  • If you wish to change room when you are already in Malta (e.g. share a room with other students), a supplement of € 50 is applied.
