The intensive course is designed to help you communicate in spoken and written English. Intensive courses are held for beginner, elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. This is a concentrated programme of English study (15 or 20 lessons per week) that allows you time for out-of-class activities.
With the intensive course of 20 hours per week, lessons normally take place in the morning from 09.00 - 13.30 hours.
The course with 15 lessons per week will take place from Monday to Friday from 13.45 to 17.00.

The combined course includes 20 lessons of the intensive course and 5 or 10 individual lessons each week. The group lessons normally take place in the morning from 9.00 - 13.30 hours. Usually you can choose the time of the individual lessons in the afternoon together with your teacher. Minimum combined course duration is one week.

The school in Ireland has designed an exciting English language course exclusively for the over 50's age group. The Club 50 course combines enjoyable English language practice with exciting opportunities to explore Ireland's unique cultural heritage.
In addition to language classes (2 lessons per day), the program consists of various activities (also 2 lessons per day).
In the morning you start with 2 lessons in which all aspects of learning the English language are discussed, with an emphasis on practical language use. So what do you need to express yourself well in English in everyday life. The other 2 lessons most days take place outside the school building and are filled with so-called "excursion lessons". For example, the participants visit a square where there is a lot of art and discuss it. Other examples include a visit to the National Museum or an "Oscar Wilde" walk through Dublin. In the afternoon, participants can join the activity program that is organized for all students (for a fee).

The commercial English course consists of 20 lessons Business English per week.
In today’s fast-paced world, confidence in communicating through English is vital for both employability and successful business. Our Business English Course is designed to deliver fast and effective training. The business section of the course includes the following modules:

This Cambridge exam course is designed to help prepare you for the Cambridge examination at FCE, CAE and CPE level.
The Cambridge exam course is highly intensive and combines general English tuition with exam preparation. The exams will sometimes take place in the weekend or in the week after the course. Please take this in account when booking your flights. The extra night or week of accommodation is NOT included in the price.
You can start any Monday, but we recommend that you start at least 4 weeks prior to the exam, but the number of weeks you need depend on your level. You may enter a Cambridge course only after you have taken a special pre-test and your level has been assessed.

If you want to end your language course with an official diploma, for example because you want to study or work in England or Ireland, we recommend this preparation course for the IELTS exam. This exam is often required for admission to universities or courses in England and Ireland.
We recommend to take at least 4 weeks, with the exact number of weekd depending on your level. The course consists of 20 hours of lessons per week general English and exam preparation.

During the summer period the school offers secondary school teachers of English (whose first language is not English) the opportunity to improve or maintain their level of English. The teachers course consists of lectures, workshops and communicative sessions. Course duration is two weeks, in which you will have 25 lessons a week in groups of maximum 15 participants.
Minimum age is 18 years.
The CELTA course for teachers of English consists of 30 lessons per week but since it is a full time program in total it is 40 lessons including discussions, assignments etc. The CELTA course is probably the most recognised English language teacher training course in the world. Our partner school International House Dublin is running full and part-time CELTA courses since 2006. Furthermore, this teacher course is accredited by ACELS (the Accreditation and Certification of English Language Schools), an organisation which regulates and inspects language and teacher training centres in Ireland.
Groups are small: with a maximum of 6 participates per tutor each individual gets the attention he or she needs. Obtaining a CELTA diploma from International House Dublin can increase your work opportunities around the world. The CELTA course is held under supervision of an ESOL Assessor (from the University of Cambridge). This guarantees a high quality and reliability.
The CELTA course can be taken by all kinds of participants in the field of English language training:
- Starters in the field of teaching (no experience)
- Those who have taught languages but with little or no previous training
- Those who have taught other subjects but want to switch to language teaching
- Those who already received previous training but need a refresher course
