Language course English in Dublin

• Ages: 9 -16
• Minimum level: suitable for all levels
• Lessons: 15 hours English language tuition per week with expert IH teachers in mixed nationality classes, in groups of a maximum of 15 students.
• Accommodation: residence in rooms shared with 2, 3 or 4 students. Host families in twin rooms. All on basis of full board.
• Supervision: 24 hours/ 7 days a week.
• Curfew: Students are not permitted to leave the school in the evenings unsupervised
• Airport transfer:  not included (compulsory service if students travel alone), please see rates on our online price list.
• Social programme: included. The number of activities per week included in the programme depends on the type of accommodation you book. Extra activities (golf, horse-riding, water sports or tennis are available; prices on request)

English lessons
The teaching programme is very effective as well as fun, as it combines extremely communicative classes of general English with activities. It's a very interactive program supervised by highly professional teachers, who motivate the students to participate and to speak English. Digital media activities are provided, such as the creation of an e-Portfolio, movie & animation, creation of blogs and the online school newsletter. Students will have access to a web-based e-Portfolio to share with their friends and keep for the future.

Sample of the social programme

The school organises a varied programme of afternoon activities, local excursions to the city centre, sports activities & evening activities (e.g. talent show, bowling, disco). 

The number of activities per week included in the programme depends on the type of accommodation you book:

• When staying in a host family: 2 half day excursions every week + 2 evening activities per week
• When staying in residence: 3 half day excursions every week + daily evening programme    

Both accommdoation options include the full-day excursion on Saturday (e.g. to Glendalough & Wicklow Jail, or Belfast & Titanic museum).      

Extra activities (can be booked at a surcharge on request):

2 x 2 hours sessions per week with professional sports instructors, to be booked in combination with the intensive course (price on request).

This course combines the intensive course with 15 lessons per week with 2 golf sessions per week. One golf session has a duration of 2 hours.

This course combines the intensive course with 15 lessons per week with 2 watersports activities per week. Each watersports activity has a duration of 2 hours. You can choose between activities such as kayaking, stand up paddle, sailing etc..
