Our partner school in Playa del Carmen, IH Riviera Maya, is located in the heart of Playa del Carmen, in an ideal location close to the famous Fifth Avenue (Quinta Avenida) and just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. The school has 10 spacious, air-conditioned classrooms and a lovely garden where you can relax or do your homework between lessons. The friendly, informal and international atmosphere will make you feel at home in no time.
At IH Riviera Maya, learning Spanish goes hand in hand with discovering Mexican life and local culture. Lessons are practical and communication-focused, allowing you to put your Spanish skills into practice straight away in everyday situations.
In addition to Spanish lessons, the school organises a social and cultural activities programme. You can explore Playa del Carmen with fellow students, visit local attractions, discover Mexican cuisine or take part in activities such as salsa dancing. These activities provide plenty of opportunities to practise your Spanish outside the classroom while making friends from all over the world.

Playa del Carmen's location makes it an extra special destination for a language trip. You can combine your Spanish course with the laid-back Caribbean lifestyle of the Riviera Maya, with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters just moments away. Playa del Carmen is also an excellent base for exploring famous Mayan ruins, cenotes and other fascinating attractions across the Yucatán Peninsula.

The mini group course is a general Spanish language course, with lessons taught in small groups of no more than 8 students. All language skills are covered during the lessons, including speaking, listening, reading and writing. The course is available at all levels.

The private Spanish course is fully tailored to your individual needs and learning goals. It is particularly suitable for students who want to make as much progress as possible in a short period of time.
During your one-to-one lessons, you can focus on general Spanish or concentrate on specific topics that are important to you, such as Spanish for work or study.
