Located right in the heart of Oaxaca’s vibrant city centre, our partner school, International House, offers an ideal setting to learn Spanish. The school itself is housed in a beautifully preserved building from the 16th century, adding a touch of history to your learning experience. With five classrooms and a sunny courtyard, it’s the perfect place to meet fellow students and enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Your Spanish lessons are just the beginning of your experience in Oaxaca. The school organizes a variety of cultural activities so you can get to know the city and its surroundings in a fun and engaging way. Think walking tours through historic streets, museum visits, and trips to local landmarks.
Feeling adventurous? The region around Oaxaca is full of natural and cultural gems. Just outside the city, Monte Albán awaits with its ancient ruins and stunning views across the valley. For something truly unique, head to Hierve el Agua—where mineral springs have created petrified waterfalls and natural pools high in the mountains. Or visit nearby villages like Teotitlán del Valle to see how traditional rugs are woven and sample mezcal straight from the source at a local distillery. Whether you're into culture, nature, food—or all three—there’s always something exciting to discover in and around Oaxaca!
The Spanish mini-group course includes 20 lessons per week and is perfect for anyone looking to improve their overall language skills. Lessons cover speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and take place in small, international groups—creating the ideal environment to practice and progress quickly.
