Our partner school Expanish is located in the lively Eixample district of Barcelona. The neighborhood offers fantastic restaurants, cafés, bars, shops, and other amenities. The language school is housed in a fully renovated historic building and features spacious classrooms and common areas, all designed in the building’s artistic style. Famous landmarks such as Casa Batlló and Casa Milà are found nearby.
The school has a separate area dedicated to students aged 30 and over, where the 50+ courses are also held.

Expanish offers a varied weekly social and cultural activity program, allowing you to practise the language outside the classroom, connect with your international classmates, and fully immerse yourself in the city and its culture. Students taking the Club 50 course participate in three weekly activities together with other 50+ learners.
The school also organizes optional weekend excursions for an additional fee.
In addition to the Club 50 course, the language school offers Spanish courses for adults aged 30+ as well as for learners of all ages. The 30+ course is available year-round — click here for more information.
The Club 50 Spanish course is designed specifically for students aged 50 and above. The program consists of 20 lessons per week and is complemented by three weekly activities. It is a two-week program, but participation for just one week is also possible.
Examples of activities include:
City tours
Visits to museums and local attractions
Cultural activities such as tapas tours and wine tastings
Flamenco dance lesson & show
An optional weekend excursion is available for an additional fee.
Depending on the number of participants and their language levels, Spanish classes may take place in mixed-age groups.
Minimum age is 50 years.

In 2026 the school is closed on: 01/01/2026, 06/01/2026, 03/04/2026, 06/04/2026, 01/05/2026, 25/05/2026, 24/06/2026, 11/09/2026, 24/09/2026, 12/10/2026, 08/12/2026, 25/12/2026. During weeks with one holiday, group classes will be compensated with 2 extra hours of opional group classes. During weeks where there are two holidays, intensive Spanish 20 will receive 6 extra hours of classes and intensive Spanish 30 students will receive 2 hours of one-to-one lessons as compensation. |
