Our partnerschool France Langue in Lyon is located in the heart of the city, close to Lyon City Hall, the Place Bellecour and many other points of interest. The school is located in a typical French building and is part of one of the most active squares in the city. The school offers 4 classrooms and a student lounge room.

Social programme

Because of the central location of the school, it’s the perfect base to explore Lyon after classes. Lyon is a real metropolis, cosmopolitan, cultural and historic place with a vibrant student life. The city has a rich and ancient history with many interesting sights. Apart from culture and history, Lyon is also known for it’s French gastronomy. You can choose to explore all that Lyon has to offer on your own, but the school will also organize activities for all students. Examples of activies are; neighbourhoods tours, French movie club, tastings of local products and excursions to, for example, the medieval town of Pérouges, the vineyards of Beaujolais or a cruise down the Rhône.

Intensive

The intensive course offers 20, or 30 lessons of French per week. The course of 20 lessons per week will focus on the development of all 4 main language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. When you choose to follow 30 lessons, you will follow 10 extra lessons of French “workshops”. These can focus on the linguistic elements such as speaking and listening, writing and reading, phonetics or grammar, but also, for more advanced levels, more cultural themed workshops such as current events, traditions and civilisation are available. 

Minimum age is 16 years.

For arrivals before 17:00 hours, an early check-in fee of € 35 will be charged. The check-out on the day of departure must be before 12:00 hours.

Combined

The combined course is a combination of the intensive course of 20 group lessons and 4 individual lessons per week. You need a minimum level of A2 to participate in this course. It’s the ideal combination for students who would like to learn as much as possible. The individual lessons will be completely adjusted to your personal needs.

In 2025 this course consists of 20 group lessons and 6 individual lessons per week.

Minimum age is 16 years.
