Our partner school CES is located in the heart of downtown Toronto, at just a few minutes from the lively Yonge and Dundas Square. The school building offers 18 classrooms, a student lounge and study area with computers. CES is an official IELTS and Cambridge test centre so you can easily take an exam on site.
The school organizes a great activity programme for all students. Through participating in activities, you will get to know your fellow students better while exploring and learning more about Toronto! Example activities may include sports, games- and movie nights, museum visits, city tours and weekend excursions to Niagara Falls and New York.

The intensive course is the most popular course. It consists of 20, 25 or 30 lessons per week. You’ll focus on the four most important communication skills of speaking, listening, writing and reading. Lessons concentrate on building your knowledge of the language, focusing on helping you increase your vocabulary and improving your grammar. You will also work on specific pronunciation difficulties and expand the range of language you use in real-life situations.
The standard course consists of 20 lessons per week. When choosing 25 or 30 lessons per week, you will have 5- or 10 extra interactive lessons per week. These extra lessons have a strong focus on listening, reading, speaking and writing skills through discussions, role plays, video work and listening exercises.

The Cambridge course will prepare you for the official Cambridge exam. You’ll work on your general English skills while also preparing for the exam and working on Cambridge techniques.

The Cambridge course prepares you for the official Cambridge exam. This fast-track course has a duration of 4 weeks and consists of 30 hours of Cambridge exam preparation lessons per week. You can prepare for the Cambridge FCE (First) or CAE (Advanced) exam in Toronto.

The IELTS course will prepare you for the official IELTS exam. This course builds English grammar and vocabulary in the key tasks and topic areas that come up on the IELTS Test. Lessons will focus on improving students’ English, as well as on developing their exam techniques and integrates all four parts of the IELTS Test: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The intensive test practice component builds your familiarity with the format of the test and provides you with the opportunity to practice a range of test-taking strategies.
The IELTS course does not include the exam but you can decide to take the exam at school, please contact us for more information and exam dates.

The business English course offers a combination of general English and business English. Per week, you will follow 20 lessons of general English (the intensive course) and 5 lessons of business English. The business English lessons may include the following topics:
• Meetings and negotiations
• Socialising and travel
• Oral and written presentations
• Analysing figures and describing trends
• Sales/Marketing/Advertising
• Understanding cultural differences
• Written communication
Minimum age is 16 years.
The intensive 30+ course is designed for students who are 30 years and older. This course will offer the same English communication and grammar training as with the standard intensive course, but with methodology and topics specifically adapted to suit the needs and interests of students 30 years and older. Topics may include: Meeting People and Networking, Family and Relationships, Jobs and Careers, Global Issues, Travel and Tourism. The course is offered at B1 – B2 level.
