Our English Outdoors school is specifically designed to immerse students in New York life. It gives them the opportunity to practice their English in authentic NYC settings and make the most of your stay in ‘the city that never sleeps’.
Locations have been carefully selected based on comfort, space, ease of access, points of interest close by, proximity of public restrooms, etc. The maximum number of students per class is 8.
Minimum age is 13 years. Students who are 17 years and older can also join the adult program.
Students between the ages of 13 and 17 can stay with a host family. They are all based in Brooklyn and the average journey time to the meeting point is 40 minutes by public transport. A host family can be a couple with children, a retired couple, a single parent, or even a single person. Ethnic diversity is an important factor of New York’s cultural identity, but English is always spoken in the home.
Students stay in a double room shared with another student. Accommodation is on a full board basis.
The school residence is located in the heart of Brooklyn Heights. The students stay in a double room that they share with another student. The rooms have WiFi, a TV, a refrigerator and a microwave. On-site features include 24 hour security, key card entrance to residence and rooms, recreational lounges including a pool table and movie room. Students receive breakfast and dinner in Park Plaza restaurants and a packed lunch during the day. Bed linen is provided, you must bring your own towels.
