Ravenna is a city in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, connected to the Adriatic Sea by a canal. Today there is a population of approximately 160,000 inhabitants and is the second largest comune in terms of land area in Italy. With Ravenna being located close to the Adriatic Coast it gives tourists and students the option of visiting the sandy beaches where they can sail, water-ski or scuba dive. As well as the partner school there are numerous watersports clubs in the area that cater for foreign visitors. If you choose to learn Italian in Ravenna, you will find that it is easily accessible from Bologna airport by regular bus and train links.
