Language course French in Antibes

• Ages: 12-17 years
• Minimum level: suitable for all levels
• Lessons: 20 lessons per week from Monday to Friday. It is also possible to book a course with 25 lessons per week, but is option is only available from level A1.
• Accommodation: on site campus or host family in a shared room (3-4 students per room) in full board basis

    • students have permission to go out Sunday - Thursday until 22:00 + on fridays, saturdays and holidays until 01:00 AM as long as they have a parental permission
• Supervision: this programme has monitors living in the residence
• Airport transfer: included on arrival and departure during the weekends at Nice airport or the train station of Antibes.

French lessons
The intensive French course in Antibes consists of 20 lessons per week with special emphasis on communication. During these lessons you will develop your essential language skills (speaking, writing, listening and reading) thorough full immersion and communicative activities. 2 lessons per day focus on general French and 1 lesson per day is focused on "games and fun". During these lessons, students are stimulated to speak French by playful linguistic activities. The games and fun lessons are taught by a teaching assistent, closer to the students because of his/her age.

The junior programme in Antibes includes a wide range of activities and excursions included for the students. Samples of these are: A full-day excursion to Monaco, Leirens or an amusement park 1 half-day excursion to Nice or Cannes Sport Tourneys Evening Barbeques Crepes Party Cinema at the school Board games

Additionally, students can also book extra activities whilst there for an extra charge (approx. €5-€20). Some of these additional activities include: Karting, minigolf, bowling, etc.

Students aged 12-17 years have the possibility to book 5 additional sailing lessons to the French course with 20 lessons per week.

This way students will get additionally to the French lessons one sailing lesson per day from Monday to Friday (approx. 2-3 hours per sailing lesson).

Please note that students cannot participate in the regular activity programme due to the sailing lessons in the afternoon. Students will still be able to take part in the weekend excursion.

Minimum age is 12 years.

Students aged 12-17 years have the possibility to book 5 additional dancing/fitness lessons to the French course with 20 lessons per week.

This way students will get additionally to the French lessons one dance/fitness lesson per day from Monday to Friday (approx. 2 hours per dance/fitness lesson).

Please note that students cannot participate in the regular activity programme due to the sailing lessons in the afternoon. Students will still be able to take part in the weekend excursion.

Transfer:

The airport transfers only are included upon arrival and departure from the airport Nice or the trainstation in Antibes at weekends when you book accommodation. For arrivals outside the weekends, a supplement applies.

All prices include: administration fees course and accommodation as stated teaching materials activity program certificate of attendance airport transfer on arrival and departure on weekends (when accommodation is booked through StudyTravel) In 2024 the school is closed on the following public holidays: 01/04/2024, 01/05/2024, 09/05/2024, 20/05/2024, 15/08/2024, 01/11/2024, 11/11/2024. There are no lessons on bank holidays. Instead, a full day excursion is organized for juniors. On the first day of school there is an introduction with various activities and the level test. Lessons start on Tuesday, missed lessons will not be rescheduled. Day of arrival: Sunday Day of departure: Saturday

The junior course “intensive plus” takes place in the seaside resort of Juan-les-Pins in Antibes. Students will stay in a more comfortable residence and lessons take place at the main school building in Antibes, in smaller groups. Therefore, there will be more individual attention for every student. Activities during the plus programme are also more exclusive. 

This programme is not only available in summer, but also in spring and autumn.

Social programme
The junior programme plus in Antibes includes a wide range of activities and excursions for the students. The plus programme activities are more exclusive than the standard activities. Samples of these are: bubble football, high-speed boat trips, flying yoga, private beach visit, waterpark, sport activities and evening activities such as a movie night, BBQ, pool party and many more! There also are excursions included for example to Cannes, Monaco or Nice.

Lessons for the young students are taught in an interactive way in the form of role play which motivates kids to get talking. The objective is to get the kids used to wanting to argue in French so that they can gain in confidence.

Samples of these are: waterpark, trampoline park, sport activities, cookie workshop, circus workshop, and evening activities such as a movie night, games, pizza party and many more!
