The Torquay International School (TIS) is located just a few minutes on foot from Torquay town centre and is surrounded by large gardens and a volley ball court. The school was founded in 1972.
Especially for students aged 50 and above, the language school has developed the Club 50 English course. This program combines an English language course with a social and cultural activities program. The Club 50 course is ideal for students aged 50 and older who are looking for a fun and varied program alongside peers of the same age. In addition to English lessons, activities are offered multiple times per week to explore the beautiful region of Devon.

The 1- or 2-week 50+ course in Torquay combines an intensive English course of 15 lesson hours per week with enjoyable excursions to explore the Devon region.
Some examples of activities include: visiting a local vineyard, movie afternoons, museum visits, country pub tours, English tea afternoons, boat trips, and more! Regular trips are also organized to places such as South Hams & Burgh Island.
Minimum age is 50 years.
