Our partnerschool in San Francisco organises a varied activity programme, so that the students can make the most out of their language stay. Some sample activities are: a city tour, barbecue, museum visits, urban hikes, yoga, bike ride to Golden Gate Bridge, etc..On weekends the school also organises excursion to e.g. Yosemite, Napa Valley, Monterey, Los Angles.
With the intensive course you can choose to study 20 or 28 lessons English per week (1 lesson = 45 minutes). This course offers a fast, enjoyable and effective way to improve your English language skills, whatever your current language level.
With the intensive course with 20 lessons per week you will improve your general English skills since this course focuses on the main aspects of the language: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
With the intensive course with 28 lessons per week you have the opportunity to accelerate your progress and personalize your course with 8 specific skills lessons in addition to the 20 general English lessons. Within the specific skills lessons you may choose between subjects such as Current Affairs, English for Business, Academic English, Writing and Vocabulary, Speaking and Pronunciation, Idioms, Local Culture, Literature and Film Studies. The skills that are offered may differ every week.
Classes can alternate between mornings and afternoons. Your exact timetable will be communicated to you on the first day of your classes.

If you want to maximize your learn progress in a short amount of time, one-to-one lessons are the perfect choice for you. The one-to-one lessons are completely adaptable to your specific skills and needs - you decide the learning content and how fast you want to progress.

The accommodation in a host family is the most authentic and effective way of immersing yourself into the language and culture! You can stay in one of the carefully selected host families in a single room or double room, if you are travelling with someone else. You will receive breakfast and dinner in your host family and bed linen and towels will be provided. Most host families in San Francisco are located in- or nearby the Berkeley area, approx. 45-60 minutes of commute time to the school.
Students under the age of 18 years, are obligated to book the accommodation in a host family for 16-17 year olds, where students will receive a higher level of supervision.
If you want to have a more international, independent experience and live closer to the school, the option in the schools residence is the perfect choice for you!
The residence is located approx. 2 minutes walking from the school, which makes this accommodation the perfect place for your language stay. The residence offers single and double rooms with shared bathrooms. The residence also offers a fully equipped communal kitchen, where you can prepare your own meals and other communcal areas where students can relax. There is also WIFI available.
