The school is situated close to many of London’s most famous attractions including Covent Garden, The Houses of Parliament, Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus, amongst others. Intensive courses cover practice in all four skill areas: reading, writing, speaking and listening; however, you will find the focus of the standard course is on speaking and listening - generally the main requirements of today's modern English speaker.
The intensive morning course offers 20 lessons in the morning (09.00-13:00) per week.

The Intensive 28 English course in London is focused fundamentally upon communication, and uses real-life situations to enable language students to speak English even after their first English lesson. The Intensive 28 language course is perfect for those students who would like to achieve the best English language results in a short space of time whilst also gaining cultural understanding. This English course includes 28 lessons per week.

We appreciate that business people and professionals only have a limited amount of time available for English language training, the courses are, therefore, intensive and designed to make the best use of the time you have.
Maximum of 5 students per group with 20 or 30 lessons per week.
At least an intermediate level of English is required. Business English course students are asked to complete a needs analysis questionnaire before they arrive, which helps the school to assess their individual needs and aims and to formulate a unique, tailor-made programme.
Minimum age is 21 years.
The best way to demonstrate your level of English is through an internationally recognised qualification such as the Cambridge Exam. The school offers the Cambridge Exam course with 20 or 28 lessons per week.

Commercial English is a course designed for people starting their business careers, or people with some experience of working in business. This commercial English course consist of 20 hours of the intensive course plus 8 hours a week commercial English. The course content of the commercial English lessons is decided by the interests, aims and needs of the students in the group. The length of the course is 1 to 8 weeks. The course includes vocabulary, discussions, case studies, role-plays in business situations, video work and authentic material. The following topics are usually covered:

The TEC (Teachers of English Course) is a teacher development course for non-native teachers of English who want to update their teaching methodologies, as well as improve their English. The course consists of 26 lessons per week. Participants develop and explore aspects of teaching methodology and techniques, and learn to assess and utilise a variety of teaching aids and resources. At the end of the course, all participants receive a certificate of attendance and a St. Giles Teachers of English Course Certificate.

Looking for an English course in London for the whole family? Then our summer family programme is an excellent choice!
Parents and children will have 20 English lessons per week, following the same timetable, in different groups divided by ages and levels. Juniors aged 9-15 years old will have lessons in a junior school located just 2 minutes walk from the adult school in central London. As a result, parents will be able to leave children in the morning at the junior school and pick them up after they have both finished with lessons.
This course includes the following items:
Host families are located in residential areas of London, on average at 45-60 minutes by public transport. There are host families available with enough room for all family members.
This programme must be booked along with “Family / parents” programme. Prices are per person. Parents must accompany their child to and from lessons and participate in all other activities.
