Our partner school in Chester, Chester English, is located in 3 elegant buildings on Stanley Place, less than 2 minutes' walk from the historic city center and bus stop. One of the three buildings is called The Language Training Center, which only hosts specific business English courses for working professionals aged 30+.

Example of activities and excursions:

The language school organizes a varied leisure program that allows you to practice your English outside of the classroom. The program will offer welcome parties and guided tours of interesting or historic sites in the city of Chester and the surrounding area. Some exemplary activities are:

  • Conversation workshops, books, films
  • Visit to a typical English pub
  • Trips to the Lake District, North Wales, Liverpool and Manchester
  • Football match
  • Theater visit

Intensive

The Intensive Course consists of 28 lessons per week in a group of maximum 12 students (1 lesson = 45 minutes). Lessons are focussed on grammar and vocabulary with a special focus on communication: conversation, pronunciation, writing or listening.

The IELTS exam course consists of 28 lessons per week (1 lesson = 45 minutes) of which 20 lessons are general English, 6 lessons specific exam preparation and 2 lessons of academic writing.

The Cambridge Exam Preparation Course consists of 30 lessons per week, each lasting 45 minutes in a group of 12 students maximum. The course will prepare you to take the Cambridge FCE (First) exam or the Cambridge CAE (Advanced) exam.

With the Club 50 course you can practice English, explore the city, meet international people of your age and make new friends. This program consists of 20 English lessons per week as well as an activity program and excursions. Minigroup 30+

This course is for students over the age of 30 who want to learn English in a more mature environment with students with similar interests. It is a very intensive program consisting of 20 or 30 lessons per week in a small group. The profile of the participants is usually made up of professionals of various nationalities who, in addition to improving their general English skills, would also like to improve their professional English or English in other formal situations.
