BEET Language Centre

Our partnerschool BEET Language Centre was established in Bournemouth in 1979. It is a family run school, meaning you’ll feel easily at home and enjoy a friendly and warm atmosphere. The school has a strong focus on quality teaching, offering all kinds of courses, from General English to IELTS and Cambridge Examination Preparation. The school averagely has between 20 and 40 different nationalities, providing a perfect mix of nationalities and an international atmosphere!

Social Programme:

The school organises many activities outside the classroom, as this is considered an important part of your language immersion as well. Some activities are free of charge, for others (like excursions), you need to pay a price.

Some examples of possible activities are:

  • Excursions to London, Bath, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Salisbury, Stonehenge etc.

  • International Food Night: students are invited to prepare a typical dish / snack or even special drink from their own country and bring it along for all to share and explain. A unique opportunity to discover wonderful food from all over the world.

Intensive

The intensive course in Bournemouth has 20, 24 or 28  English lessons per week.

The standard course has 20 lessons of general English. Classes are focused mainly on communication, with particular emphasis on improving pronunciation, oral comprehension and writing.

If you book 24 or 28 lessons you will have, in addition to the 20 lessons of general English, elective workshops. Each workshop is made of 4 lessons per week. If you have chosen the 24 lessons per week programme, you select one option; if you have chosen the 28 lessons per week programme, you select two options between the following:

  • Speaking, Pronunciation and Listening
  • Reading, Writing and Vocabulary
  • English for Business
  • Academic English and Skills
  • Writing Skills

 

Minimum age is 16 years.
