Our partner school BEET Language Centre was established in Bournemouth in 1979. It is a family run school, meaning you’ll feel easily at home and enjoy a friendly and warm atmosphere. Social Programme:

The school organises many activities outside the classroom, as this is considered an important part of your language immersion as well. This way, you’ll have opportunities to practise your English and build friendships with your fellow students. You also learn more about life and culture in England. Some activities are free of charge, for others (like excursions), you need to pay a price.

Intensive

The intensive course in Bournemouth has 20, 24 or 28 English lessons per week of 45 minutes each, from Monday to Friday, in groups of max 14 students (the average is 12).

The standard course has 20 lessons of general English. Classes are focused mainly on communication, with particular emphasis on improving pronunciation, oral comprehension and writing.

If you book 24 or 28 lessons you will have, in addition to the 20 lessons of general English, elective workshops. Each workshop is made of 4 lessons per week. If you have chosen the 24 lessons per week programme, you select one option; if you have chosen the 28 lessons per week programme, you select two options between the following:

Speaking, Pronunciation and Listening
Reading, Writing and Vocabulary
English for Business
Media, Music and Film
English for Travel and Tourism
Academic English and Skills
Writing Skills

The 20 lessons programme is divided into two different sessions (one in the morning and one in the afternoon), in order to have free time in different moments. Usually, classes are between 8.45 and 12.05 or between 14.20 and 17.40, with a break of 20 minutes between every session. If you choose the programme with 24 or 28 lessons, you will also have classes from Tuesday to Thursday, from 12.15 to 14.10.
*The time schedule can be subjected to changes. Some workshops are not available all the year.

Cambridge Exam

The course for the Cambridge exam preparation in Bournemouth takes place from Monday to Friday in groups of max. 14 students (the average is 12). The programme prepares for all levels (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE) and is offered in 3 different formats:

a) 20 lessons focused only on exams preparation, with the tests of the previous years and specific material

Intensive 40+

If you are 40 years old or older, and would like to discover Bournemouth with people of your age, then this is the perfect course for you!

You will have 20 English lessons per week with students of all ages from all over the world in a group with max. 14 students. You will take a test on your first day so that you will be placed in the best possible class for you. Levels accepted are from elementary to proficiency.

After the lessons, you will join the 40+ participants for the rest of the day. In the programme included are 2 afternoon outings per week, an exciting, boutique Sunday excursion, and 2 (optional) evenings out.

Sharing the daily life and experiences with an English family is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in local life. Families live at 20-30 minutes from the school. It is possible to book a single or a double room (the last one only if you travel with a friend), with b&b or half board treatment.

Apartments

The school has many houses usually at 5 minutes from the school. It is possible to book a single or a double room (the last one only if you travel with a friend), with access to the kitchen, shower, living room and laundry. Apartments have Wi-Fi connection.

Summer Residence

In summer the school offers the accommodation in a residence at 20 minutes from the school. This residence has apartments with 4-6 bedrooms, each with its private bathroom. There are also laundry and internet accesses.
