Host family
Staying with a host family will not only help you to learn the language, but is also a great way for you to meet the locals and make friends. A host family can be a married couple or a single person, with or without children. If you have strong preferences regarding the type of family you wish to stay with, let us know and we will do our very best to arrange this. All host families are carefully selected by accommodation officers at the schools. If you have any allergies, special dietary requirements or medical conditions that you feel your host family or school should be aware of, please let us know.
Executive host family
At a lot of destinations in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, South Africa and Italy it is possible to stay in an executive host family. Executive host families normally live in larger houses and you may have en-suite or private bathroom facilities.
Shared apartment
A shared apartment generlly means sharing a self-catering apartment with other students from your school. You share the living room, fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom with the other international students. In the apartment most students speak English to each other. The students themselves are responsible for keeping the apartment clean.
(School) Residence
There are all sorts of residences varying in their facilities, depending on the location. Therefore, read the description at the destination of your choice very carefully, so you know what kind of facilities there are. Several residences are located on the same site as the school. Normally there is a shared living room, but a kitchen is usually not available for the students.
Campus
During the summer it is possible to stay at the University Campus in Dublin.
Single-use apartment
In these studio apartments there is a private bathroom and a private kitchenette. The apartments are furnished and are ideal for students who are looking for private self-catering accommodation.
Hotel / bed & breakfast
Some schools work regularly with hotels or bed & breakfasts. Usually tourists stay here, so you don't live with other students.
No accommodation
It is also possible to make your own accommodation arrangements and book only your language course at StudyTravel.
