Social Program

Learning English in Cardiff is not just about taking a language course. It's also about meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and discovering Wales and Cardiff. For this reason, the language school organizes a social activities program. Examples of activities include a pub quiz, movie night, city tour, visits to Cardiff's attractions, sports activities, and weekend excursions to cities and attractions in the area, such as Castle Coch, Cosmeston Lakes, Penarth Pier & Dyffryn Gardens, Brecon Beacons Waterfalls, Ogmore Castle, Merthyr Mawr & the Vale Coastline, Bristol, Oxford, London, Bath, and much more! You won't get bored when you're learning English in Wales.

Intensive (morning)

The intensive morning course is the general English course and is the most popular option. This course will take place in a small, international group and will focus on all the English language skills. The focus is mainly on speaking, listening, writing and reading skills but there’s also room for increasing your vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. 

You can choose between 20 or 28 lessons per week. 20 lessons are focused on general English and when you choose 28 lessons per week there will be 8 additional electives in which you can choose between different subjects, depending on your level of English.

Minimum age is 16 years.

Cambridge

The Cambridge exam course offers a combination of 20 general English lessons and 8 Cambridge exam lessons per week. During the general English lessons you will work on all English language skills and during the Cambridge exam lessons you will receive exam preparation.

IELTS

The IELTS exam course consists of 20 exam preparation lessons per week. The aim of the IELTS preparation course is to help you improve your level of English and provide you with the strategies and techniques you need to succeed in the exam. It is possible to take an official IELTS test at the end of your course, please contact us for more information and exam dates.

In 2025 this course consists of 20 lessons of general English (= the intensive course) and 8 lessons of IELTS preparation per week.

Commercial English

The commercial English course combines 20 lessons of general English with 8 lessons of business English per week. You will improve your general English skills and also learn English for work. Subjects that might be attended are finance and marketing, business related tasks such as organizing meetings or interviews and business English vocabulary. 

Minimum age is 16 years.

Intensive 30+

The intensive 30+ course takes place in summer and is the perfect choice for students who want to immerse in the English language and follow lessons in a group with peers of the same age. The course consists of 20 morning lessons per week, which leaves enough free time to live the summer in beautiful Wales!

The minimum duration is 2 weeks. Minimum level of English is B1.

Minimum age is 30 years.
