| I kept coming back for another German course in Germany because each time I went there it felt more like home. Currently I am 22 years old and I am from Guatemala. The first time I decided to go to Germany I was completely alone, in a new country very far from my own. I did not know the language or even how to ask for help. But luckily, I had read a little bit of BWS Germanlingua and StudyTravel before. |

On my first trip I went for three months to München. I stayed at a host family with five members who were all really nice to me. They would take me to the movies with them, and if I didn’t wanted to go it was no problem at all. In the house itself I had a room only for myself, which made the stay really comfortable. During my German course in München I had the best teacher I could have asked for. Her name was Andrea. I started with the most basic German level and could say my name and even ask for water. One day in the bus I suddenly was having a conversation with a bus driver, without realizing I was talking in German, about how the language was so difficult. Then after the 20 minutes’ bus ride, I realized I had been speaking German the whole time!

The second time was in 2018 and I went to Berlin instead of München. It was without a doubt the best time of my life! I stayed the first two weeks in an apartment that StudyTravel found for me and it was super centric, because it was just 3 minutes walking distance from the U-Bahn. The other 7 weeks I stayed with a host family which consists of a nice couple that luckily had 3 dogs, what made me feel even more at home. The excursions the schools organize weekly made it easy to get to know everybody that is there and really easy to make friends for a lifetime. There is also always a group of Latin’s if someone wants to go dancing. |
BWS and StudyTravel make it incredibly easy to keep coming back. Never did I have any trouble with them and they answered every question incredibly fast. The main reason I keep coming back is that it always feels like my home even if it is very far away from my home. Coming from a Latin country I was kind of nervous that people would be cold or distant, but I was completely wrong. This is also the reason why I booked a language course in Berlin with StudyTravel again for this year!
