Learn English in Boston by taking an intensive English course. The intensive English course consists of 20, 24 or 30 lessons per week, with a maximum of 12 students per group. For the intensive course of 20 lessons per week, you will not need an I-20 visa if your country is part of the visa waiver programme, but for the 24 or 30 hour courses you will. The intensive course lessons focus on communication skills and centre upon studying grammar, vocabulary, conversation, writing and listening comprehension.

Indication of your class schedule with

20 Lessons: from 9:00 till 10:40 and, after a 20-minute break, from 11:00 till 12:40 on Monday through Friday.

24 Lessons: all intensive 20 course classes with 4 extra lessons. These extra classes take place after lunch from 13:40 till 15:20 on Tuesday and Thursday.

30 Lessons: all intensive 20 course classes with 10 extra lessons. These extra classes take place after lunch from 13:40 till 15:20 on Monday through Friday.

Academic Year

Learn English in Boston by taking an academic year course. The academic year course in Boston is recommended for those students who would like to gain a very high command of the English language and maximise their English communication skills.

The academic year English course consists of 24 or 30 lessons per week which focus on:

General English (grammar, conversation, listening, vocabulary and written expression)
Exam preparation for the TOEFL or Cambridge exams

Throughout the course you will be supported by an academic advisor, who will also help you find information about applying to American universities.

Academic year classes have a maximum of 12 students and take place Monday to Friday 9.00 – 13.30*.

TOEFL

The TOEFL exam course in Boston is available year round and consists of 30 lessons per week, 10 of which focus upon general English (grammar, conversation, listening, vocabulary and written expression) and 20 of which focus specifically upon TOEFL exam preparation. You will need at least an intermediate level of English when starting the course. Students will be prepared to take the TOEFL exam in either the paper exam form, or via the internet.

Apartment

Stay in an apartment whilst you learn English in Boston. Student apartments are situated in one of the oldest and best areas of Boston’s city centre, Fenway. Fenway is Boston’s cultural district and you will find shops, supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies and student nightclubs there. The American football stadium is also quite near. The school is 20 minutes away by public transport.

Host Family
