Learn Spanish in Santo Domingo at our partner Spanish school, Hispaniola. Located in a colonial building in the historic heart of Santo Domingo, Hispaniola is the perfect place to take a Spanish course in the Dominican Republic.
There is so much to see and do in Santo Domingo and it will keep you entertained for hours. Many students enjoy discovering the city on their own or with a group of friends or classmates from Hispaniola. Some activities are:
And if you want to go to one of the beautiful beaches at the weekend, then you can take a "guagua" (small bus) and it takes approx. 50 minutes.
An Intensive Language Course in Santo Domingo will ensure the most development in the shortest amount of time. The intensive course is a general Spanish course consisting of 4 lessons per day from Monday to Friday. The intensive course classes are small, with a maximum of 8 people per class. This encourages social interaction and a better teacher-student relationship.

The combined course in Santo Domingo is specially designed for those participants who would like to study in a group, yet at the same time have some private lessons for their professional or personal needs. The combined course involves 25 or 30 lessons per week with 4 lessons daily and 1 or 2 individual lessons. It is an ideal way of studying and improving spanish.

This course combines and intensive course with 20 lessons per week with a cooking course of 2 lessons per week. This way you can join one or more of the doñas in the preparation of dinner for the family and then enjoy the meal together with them. More than a class, it is a party! The school has a list of 12 complete menus to prepare delicious creole dinners. Any cookings session includes 3 to 5 items. All the ingredients are included. Drinks are not included.

For students who want to learn Spanish and at the same time become acquainted with the culture and history as well as the current social and political situation of their host country, we suggest choosing this course. In addition to the 4 lessons of the intensive course in the morning, there will be an added culture course in the afternoon where students will be introduced to art and culture, history and folklore, the media, and the current political and economic situation of Dominican Republic.
