Estudio Sampere

Our partner school Estudio Sampere Havana is located in 3-story building in a nice residential neighborhood called La Vibora. La Vibora is the largest residential area of the islands capital and only 15 minutes away from Old Havana. This allows students a total immersion into Cuban life, and offers a break from the tourist area in Old Havana. In additions, there are many small restaurants, shops, cafes and parks.  The school has six classrooms, a spacious patio, terrace, dining room, library, video room and common areas. The building also hosts an in-house residence with 3 rooms. It has a friendly atmosphere, and the director and staff are Cubans who make up a professional and committed team.
The school offers students invaluable assistance by advising them on the various possibilities for travel in Cuba and the Caribbean. All the teachers are university graduates and are certified in the Estudio Sampere teaching methodology.

Social Programme:

The school organises a varied activity programme throughout the week, so that you can make the most out of your language stay! Apart from optional culture classes the school organises activities such as outdoors sports at the beach, dance festivals, salsa lessons, visits to La Habana museums, Cuban tobacco and rum factories, etc..Please note that these activities are not included and have to be paid on site. 

Intensive

The intensive course consists of 20 or 25 general Spanish lessons per week (1 lesson = 45 minuntes). The course is available for all language levels, from complete beginner to advanced and can be started on any Monday. This course aims to develop the four main Spanish language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing as well as to improve grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

Furthermore, this course has an focus on active communication, which will enable you to enrich vocabulary, improve your fluency in Spanish and therefore become more confident when speaking the language. 

With the intensive course you will also have acces to weekly optional Spanish cultural and leisure activities. 

Course schedule*:

  • 20 lessons per week: Monday to Thursday from 09:00-13:00h
  • 25 lessons per week: Monday to Friday from 09:00-13:00h

This course combines the group lessons of the intensive course with additional private lessons. This way you can improve your general, conversational skills within the group dynamics and work on specific language skills according to your wishes and needs during the private lessons.

Which place on earth is better than Cuba to learn Salsa? Immerse yourself completely in Cuban culture and combined your Spanish course with Salsa lessons! You can choose to add 3 or 6 salsa lessons per week in addition to your Spanish lessons.
