Learn Italian in Viareggio at our partner Italian school, Istituto Linguistico Mediterraneo. ILM has been offering Italian language courses since 1981. The school is situated close to the town centre and just 150 metres from the town’s beautiful beaches. This school is only opened during the summer, from July till early September.
ILM has developed an ample social activity programme so that students feel at home right away and get the chance to practice their Italian language skills. Example activities include:
Learn Italian in Pisa by taking an intensive course. The intensive course consists of 20 or 30 lessons per week. The main topics of the lessons are as follows:
• Grammar
• extension of vocabulary
• conversation and listening exercises
• writing exercises
The intensive course with 30 lessons per week specialises in conversation, reading and role plays to cover most of the day-to-day situations.

This course is for those who are interested in learning more about Tuscan art and monuments. The History of Art course is of a theoretical nature and will be taught through slide presentations. The Italian & History of Art course consists of 20 Italian lessons (intensive course) + 4 History of Art lessons per week. At least a basic level of Italian is required in order to take the History of Art course.

The Italian Cookery course takes place once per week for 3 hours and offers you the possibility to prepare typical italian dishes and to choose the matching wine to each dish. You will need a basic to intermediate knowledge of Italian to participate.

This course combines an intensive Italian course of 20 lessons per week with a wine tasting course of 1 sessions of approx. 3 hours per week. The wine tasting course takes place once per week for 3 hours and offers you the possibility to learn more about italian wines and their characteristics. The wine tasting course is of a mainly practical nature, and will teach participants about the main Tuscan and Italian wines and their combination with Italian dishes. You will need at least a basic knowledge of Italian in order to participate in the course.
