Our partner school, GLS, organizes a program for juniors and children between 7-14 years of age in Josefstal, a traditional Bavarian village, located about 50 kilometers from Munich, in the Bavarian Alps. It is a well-known location for German children and teenagers, who love to spend their holidays here. The program takes place in a summer camp located in a fantastic natural setting 800 meters above sea level. The school regularly organizes excursions to Munich to explore the city with the monitors of the program.
From mid-July, German children and teenagers also participate to the camp (learning English), making it easier for the other students to practice German.
Activities program and excursions
The program includes a good number of fun activities through which students will discover Josefstal and the city of Munich while guided by monitors. Some examples below:
German classes
The German course for juniors of 7-14 years is set on the campus of the "Studienzentrum Joseftal" (handled by the local evangelical church) in the town of Joseftal, in the Alps, 5 km from Lake Schliersee and 50 km from Munich. The students will stay at the campus, where the classes and the majority of the activities take place. The school has a volleyball court, pool and ping-pong tables, a TV room and a barbecue area.
There will also be German students at the camp who are learning English.
Minimum age is 7 years.
