Our partner school Kaplan is housed on the first floor of a state-of-the-art facility located in the up-and-coming area of Melbourne’s Docklands. You can reach the city centre within 15 minutes walking and you can also benefit from a free tram service to the city centre just 5 minutes away from the school.
Our partner school in Melbourne has a dedicated social program, designed to help you explore the city and build friendships, through organised events and activities. Some of the activities are free of charge while for others a fee applies, which can be paid on site.

You can choose to study an Intensive course with either 20 or 28 lessons (1 lesson = 45 minutes) per week.
The intensive course with 20 lessons per week is the most basic course the school offers and is the perfect choice if you want to combine your English course with vacation since you will have plenty of free time for sightseeing and leisure activities. During the course you will improve your overall English skills and focus on key aspects of the language such as reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Important visa information regarding the intensive course with 20 lessons per week: Please note that the course with 20 lessons per week is not CRICOS registered, therefore it is not suitable for Overseas Student Visa Holders. For visitor visa holders the max. study time for this course is 3 months, 12 weeks. For working holiday visa holders the max study time for this course is 4 months, 17 weeks.
If you choose to take the intensive course with 28 lessons per week, you will receive in addition to the 20 general English lessons 8 additional so called "specific skills lessons" per week in the afternoon. With the specific skills lessons you can personalize your course and choose from different electives that suit your profile the most. Specific skills lessons vary but may include topics such as: current affairs, Business English, Academic English, TOEFL/IELTS exam prepararation, writing and vocabulary, speaking and pronunciation, idioms, local culture, literature and film studies etc.. Apart from the 28 lessons in class per week, you will have access to 7 sessions of online learning material and learning clubs.
Please note that the intensive course is not suitable for complete beginners, and is only offered from an intermediate level.

The IELTS preparation course will teach you valuable English skills and strategies for taking the IELTS exam, helping you to achieve a better score.
The course consists of 28 exam preparation lessons per week and you will have access to 7 online learning sessions during which you can practise and develop what you have learnt in the classroom. The classes will focus on all sections of the IELTS examination in detail and teach you the verbal skills and test-taking strategies you will need to succeed.
With the IELTS certificate you can enter a university in the UK, Ireland, Autralia, New Zealand or Canada, apply for work visa for a country which accepts an IELTS score as proof of language proficiency and enhance your CV and improve your chance for professional success in the future.
We recommend a minimum of 4 weeks, but it is also possible to book the course from 1 week onwards (prices on request).

The option of staying in a host family is ideal for students who want to discover local culture and customs with a friendly host, in a home environment. You will be accommodated in a single room and receive half board (breakfast and dinner). Bed linen and towels will be provided and changed once a week. The host families are located within 60-90 minutes from the school.
The school offers courses for students from 16 years onwards. However, for students under the age of 18 it is obligatory to book the accommodation in a homestay, providing a certain degree of supervision.
