Activity Programme

Apart from your English course, you have the opportunity to discover this fantastic city. The school organizes various activities during the week. Here are some examples:

Intensive

The intensive course at EC Auckland contains 16, 20 or 23 lessons per week. The course focuses on the improvement of the language competence and the use of the English language in real communication situations. The classes try to develop the following communication skills:

Reading and hearing comprehension
Writing expression
Oral expression

Due to the level you can have lessons at two days in the morning and at three days in the afternoon, or the other way around. StudyTravel has no influence on the time table and can not foresee this. At the first day after the placement test you will be informed about the final time table.

*The time table underlies temporary changes which are the result of the distribution of the classes by the school.

One-to-One

The advantage of one-to-one lessons is, that you can focus completely on your needs, because you can decide the topics of the course. You can book 10 one-to-one lessons per week.

Host family 18+

Living in a family from New Zealand doesn´t just offer an unique experience, but also offers you the possibility to learn the language in real communication situations. The selection criteria of the families is based on the good interaction with students and the comfort of the houses. In many cases the families have been working already a long time together with the school.

You can book a single room with half board (breakfast and dinner). Families generally are living in areas of Auckland which are 40 to 60 minutes away from the school. All families are living nearby a stop of public transportations, so that the students can get easily to the school. For a family that lives nearer to the school (30-40 minutes instead of 40-60 minutes) you have to pay a surcharge (see commentary in the price list). Please tell us if you want to book this option. In this case the surcharge will be added manually to your invoice.

ATTENTION: For teenagers between 16 and 17 years different prices apply for host family stays, this is why you have to choose the "host family 16-17".

Host family 16-17

Students between 16 and 17 years have to choose the host family as an accommodation. Students are living in a single room with half board and the families are living in areas which are 40-60 minutes away from the school. All families are living nearby a stop of public transportations, so that the student can get easily to the school.

Student Residence

In the student residence you will be accommodated in a single room with a shared bathroom, and self catering. If you travel together with someone else, you can be accommodated together in a double room with a private bathroom.
