Marbella is a very attractive tourist resort on the Costa del Sol enjoyed by tourists from all over the world each year. A medium-sized city, it has a population of approximately 116,000 inhabitants and is renowned as being a playground for some of the wealthiest and most famous people in the world as well as for attracting thousands of tourists to the area. Expensive yachts, villas and cars take common place here, and during the summer months the resort is quite heavily populated. The city is located closely to Malaga airport making international transport straightforward. Furthermore, away from the glamour and atmosphere, Marbella is a very historic city consisting of narrow cobbled streets and traditional architecture and there are some lovely shops, bars and restaurants both in the old and new styles. Marbella has a number of points of interest and a varied history dating back to Roman times. The city was under Islamic rule for a number of years and during this period the castle was constructed to surround the city and keep out intruders. The city was recaptured by the Spanish in 1485 and in the centuries that followed Marbella grew in both size and stature. Marbella has a reputation for being a paradise for golf-lovers with an array of excellent courses including Aloha Golf Club, which annually holds the Open de Andalucia on the European Tour. In addition, Marbella has breathtaking beaches and approximately 320 days of sunshine a year. For both the young and the old, there is plenty to experience in this city all year round.

Spanish language courses in a charming environment 
Enforex is located in the main street of Marbella, just 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. This language school is medium in size, but has very modern features. The language school has 17 classrooms, 14 of which are indoors and 3 are outside. All classrooms have audi-visual technology and are air conditioned. These include sight-seeing tours of the old town and excursions to beautiful cities like Seville, Ronda, Granada and Málaga. The accommodation in Marbella is in the form of a host family, a shared apartment and student residence. Staying with a host family is a great way to improve your spanish and become immersed in the culture, whilst living with students is a really good way of meeting people and practice what has been learned at school. All three choices are equally popular with students.

Impression
I attended the summer school for young students while my parents were in Marbella on vacation. I made an entire group of international friends, most of whom are Spaniards with whom I could practice the Spanish I had just learned. We took part in a lot of activities and did a lot of sports. I just can’t wait to go back there next year!
