The Spanish and literature course is the perfect option for students who already have a high intermediate level of Spanish and wish to expand the knowledge on Spanish and Latin American literature. It is a good way to improve yourl Spanish language skills and get to know more about the Hispanic culture. The Spanish and literature independent 4 week programme consists of 20 lessons per week, and is organized as follows:

• 10 lessons devoted to the general study/learning of the Spanish Language
• 10 lessons devoted to the study of Spanish Literature

During these lessons we investigate representative trends in Spanish and Latin American Literature plus we study the genres of outstanding Hispanic writers. The literary periods/topics discussed include the Golden Age, Romanticism, Generation of 1927, the Contemporary Novel, Cervantes, Lorca, Cela, García Márquez, Isabel Allende, Borges and Carlos Fuentes.

The above-mentioned programme is complemented by extra-curricular activities including visits to the National Library and others (all trips are accompanied by a teacher).
