If you are between 15 and 17 years old, you can take the Youth & Surf Course that our partner school in Biarritz organises. Lessons will take place in Anglet, located about 25 minutes by bus from Biarritz city centre. The course includes 20 language lessons of 45 minutes each per week, taking place from Monday to Friday between 9.30 am and 12.45 pm, in international classes of 14 students maximum per class. Please note that complete beginners and advanced students are not catered for in this programme.

In addition to the language lessons you will have 8 surf lessons of 45 minutes each per week, taught in blocks of 1.5 hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The times will vary according to the tides.
Lessons are adapted to the needs and levels of the participants, and are taught by qualified instructors of the surf school, in groups of 8 maximum.
Surf lessons will take place on the famous Côte des Basques beach (5 minutes walking distance from Biarritz city centre), which offers a wide range of waves for all levels. All material is provided by the surf school (wetsuits and boards).

Furthermore, an activity programme is included and activities will take place before or after the surf lessons, depending on the tides. There will be sports (football match, beach volley contest etc…) and social activities (quiz, arts & crafts, photo contest etc…) to encourage students to practice French together.
There will also be one half-day excursion on Wednesday afternoon, either in Bayonne or St Jean de Luz.
Please note that the activity programme will be the same in weeks 1 and 3, as well as in weeks 2 and 4.
There will be a group leader to run the afternoon activity programme and supervise the teens.

Accommodation is in a twin room with full board in carefully selected host families located in Biarritz or Anglet. Families will never be located more than 30 minutes by bus from the school where classes take place. You can either walk or take a bus to the school, the bus ticket is not included and costs approximately €15 per week.
