Academic year
The Academic Year programme in Malta is designed for students who want to study at a university where English is a requirement for entry. The courses could either be one semester (24 weeks) or the full academic year course of two semesters (36 weeks) totalling six or nine months respectively.
The course consist of 30 lessons per week, starting on January and September, with the course content combining a general English language course with a cultural one. This course has a maximum of ten students per class. The programme is focussed on the four essential language skills (speaking and pronunciation, listening, reading and writing)
At the end of the programme, students will have the option of either enrolling in the Cambridge Exam course, TOEFL iBT or the IELTS Examination preparation course (subject to students being at the appropriate entry level). Examination fees will apply. Students not joining an examination course will enroll in a General English 30 course appropriate to their level.
