In Exeter two JobTravel programmes are offered.

Internship
This programme offers you the opportunity to improve your English language skills and learn more about English culture at the same time. To take part in this programme you must be at least 18 years old and available for at least 4 weeks. Depending on of your language level you have to attend a language course of 28 hours for at least 1 week . During this language course attention is paid to the basic English for business, like telephoning and interview skills. After the course, you will start your internship for a minimum of 3 weeks and a maximum of 24 weeks. The school will help you find a company and the job interviews necessary before starting your internship. Our partner school in Exeter will help you find a company that suits your education, work experience and language level. Your own commitment is very important. The internship is unpaid.

Short work placement programme
You don´t have much time to go abroad? Then this programme is perfect for you. Within limited time you will learn a lot. In most jobs you will work as an assistant. The programme is offered in the following companies:

• Administration
• Shops
• Hotels
• Restaurants

This programme has been set up particularly to give you a chance to have a look in on a foreign company and learn more about the English language and habits. To take part in this programme you must be 16 years or older and available for at least 4 weeks. This depends on your knowledge of the language though. Before you start working, you will have to attend a language course for a minimum of 1 week. The total duration of the course depends on your level of English. During the programme you will stay in a hostfamily. Approximately one week before are going to Exeter, you will receive information from us about the company where you will be working.
