The work experience runs for a minimum of 8 weeks (maximum of 24 weeks) and is unpaid. It is important to note that the focus is on language training at the work place and not on gaining experience in a professional field. The minimum age for joining the work programme is 21 years and an upper intermediate level of English is required.

There are several areas available: accounting / financing, advertising, arts/culture, conservation; animal protection, event management, fashion, general administration, graphic design, human resources, import, export, IT, computer science, job recruitment, law, logistics, market research, marketing, media - TV, radio, photography, music, NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations), politics, Public Relations, print media, restaurants, sales, social work, sport and leisure, tourism.

When enrolling for this programme, you need to write a covering letter, explaining why you want to join the programme, what your expectations are and what your study / work experience is. The enrolment must be at least 3 months in advance. The letter needs to be as detailed and specific as possible so that a work placement can be found in a local company that meets your expectations. The work you do depends on your level of education and qualifications, your skills and experience and your level of English.

Homestay accommodation is not available during the period of the work experience. All other kinds of accommodation are available and you can be assisted if you want to find accommodation for yourself.
