Who can participate in the youth courses?
The language courses for children and young learners are especially designed for students between 6 and 20 years old who wish to learn or improve a foreign language abroad and reach quick and effective results.
Is it possible to travel alone?
Yes of course. Most of our students travel alone. Please note that the pick up transfer to/from the airport on arrival and departure can be also booked. Since many children and young learners of your age are also participating in the same programme as you, there are no reasons to be afraid.
I would like to travel in a group!
If you would like to travel in a group, you can help us to form a group. If you have enough friends interested in taking a language travel abroad (minimum 10 persons), just let us know and we will be pleased to help you in organizing your individual group journey.
What does the programme include?
Basically, youth courses consist of a language course, accommodation with full board (in most cases), airport transfer on arrival and departure (in most cases), social activities and mentoring. However, flight tickets are not included.
Are there starting dates for these programs?
Most of youth programs are organised for the summer season. Please, follow the links above to get more information about the exact starting dates. For your information, the school in Exeter runs the youth programme all the year round.
Are the programs secured?
Absolutely, programs are supervised by group leaders.
Is it necessary to have travel insurance?
It is strongly recommended that you take out insurance before travelling abroad. Travel insurance typically covers inconveniences that might occur.
Do I need a passport or a visa?
All European citizens can travel thorough all EU countries without a visa. If you are not a EU citizen, you should contact the appropriate embassy in advance and find out about visa requirements. It is mandatory for minors to travel abroad with a passport to avoid misunderstandings with borders.
Are flights included in the price?
Flight tickets are not included in the price. We kindly recommend parents to inform about the arrival-departure details as soon as possible in order for us to organise the pick up services. It is also important to ask for information to the air company regarding its minor’s regulation. However, if you can form a group of 10-15 students, we can also arrange the flights according availability.
Is the food good?
Yes of course. However, every country has its own culinary traditions and you need to be open to try new meals. If you have any specific diet or allergy (vegetarian, celiac disease, lactose allergy, etc.), please let us know and we will inform our partner school.
What about the social programme?
The social programme gives you the possibility to meet other students of your age and to practice the foreign language with them. Sports activities are included, as well as games, trips to other interesting cities on the weekends, visits to museums, castles, etc.
How are the language lessons?
The classes are very dynamic and effective than your language lessons in your country. Teachers are especially focused on children and young learners. Leisure activities help a lot to motivate students to speak the foreign language from the beginning.
Do I have free time?
Yes, of course. The programmes are designed in a special way, that you will have enough free time between the language lessons and the social activities to chill out and take a rest with the other students.
Is it also possible to participate in a language programme for adults?
We strongly recommend children and young learners to participate in a youth programme, since these are especially designed for them. However, for those parents who feel that their children are mature enough as to participate in an adult programme without supervision, there also options available upon request.
